'Falmouth for Orders' is the story of the race between the 'Herzogin Cecilie' and the 'Beatrice'. Both vessels were famous among the handful of great sailors that still survived. Villiers signed on as an Able Seaman aboard the 'Herzogin Cecilie' in Melbourne in January 1928. The two ships were going to race together round Cape Horn to Falmouth, where they were to receive their orders as to their final destination.
